Scottie Winters will serve as RDF’s epidemiologist, mentor and educator. Scottie is a COVID Response scholar and epidemiologist with 9 years of experience in improving the health of local populations. Scottie is experienced in developing and advancing patient care programs, as well as designing and delivering public health education.
He is expert in collecting and analyzing data to provide consulting and support on medical, epidemiological, and prevention of infectious diseases. His expertise will enable RDF to continue to develop and implement programs to prevent new emerging diseases from the rainforest, and to educate the public about the risk of emerging zoonotic disease in an accessible, interdisciplinary manner.
